Chocolate Brownie: The Irresistible Recipe for Chocolate Lovers

If there's one dessert that wins over any chocolate lover, it's the brownie. With its soft texture on the inside and slightly crunchy crust, this American sweet treat has become a classic all over the world.

Today, we bring you a simple and foolproof recipe for preparing delicious brownies at home.

Ingredients

  •  200g of dark chocolate from Alma do Cacau (ideally 70% or 85% cocoa)
  •  150g unsalted butter
  •  200g sugar
  •  3 eggs
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  •  100g wheat flour
  •  30g cocoa powder
  •  1 pinch of salt
  •  100g nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Preparation Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a square baking tin with baking paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate with the butter in a bain-marie or in the microwave, stirring until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  3. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Add the vanilla essence and fold into the melted chocolate mixture.
  5. Sift the flour, cocoa and salt, and mix gently until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  6. If desired, add nuts or chocolate chips and mix into the dough.
  7. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the surface is firm but the inside is still slightly moist.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Tips for the Perfect Brownie

  • For a moister brownie, remove from the oven when the center is still slightly soft.
  • If you like a firmer brownie, bake for a few more minutes.
  • Try different variations, adding chocolate chips, raspberry flakes or a pinch of fleur de sel to enhance the flavor.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream for an irresistible combination.
